Terms of Service

Last updated: 14 March 2025

1. Introduction

Welcome to Reeluma ("Service", "we", "us"). By accessing or using our website at reeluma.com and any associated services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by a sole trader based in the Czech Republic, European Union. These Terms are governed by Czech law and applicable EU regulations.

2. The Service

Reeluma is a video-on-demand streaming platform offering access to curated public domain films from the golden age of Hollywood (1928–1963). All films available on the Service are in the public domain and are sourced from the Internet Archive (archive.org), a non-profit digital library providing free access to digitised cultural works.

Visitors may watch the first 5 minutes of any film without an account. A paid subscription is required to watch full films.

3. Accounts

You may register an account using an email address and password or via Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that this requirement is met.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscriptions are available on the following plans:

  • Monthly: $4.99 / month
  • Annual: $39.99 / year

Payment processing is handled by Cleeng. By subscribing, you also agree to Cleeng's Terms of Service. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Prices shown on our website are indicative. The final price charged at checkout may differ based on your location and currency, as determined by our payment processor Cleeng. Applicable taxes may also apply.

5. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

Under EU consumer law, you have the right to withdraw from a contract within 14 days without giving any reason. However, by starting to use the streaming service immediately after purchase, you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost once digital content delivery has commenced, pursuant to Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU.

If you believe you are entitled to a refund for another reason, please contact us at support@reeluma.com.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service
  • Download, record, or redistribute streamed content without authorisation
  • Share account credentials with others
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

7. Intellectual Property

Films available on Reeluma are in the public domain. The Reeluma brand, website design, and original content (descriptions, curation, interface) remain the intellectual property of the operator and may not be reproduced without permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Availability of specific titles may change without notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Czech or EU law.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email or via a notice on the Service at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to your rights as an EU consumer to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
